Happy BIRTHDAY Lucia Grace | Puyallup Area Birth Photographer

Laura is a special friend of mine, not only do we both share the love of birth photography, but when she moved up here from Colorado nearly a year ago, we hit it off instantly. I was thrilled to have a new neighbor just up the road. The first time we met, it was like we were reunited again even though we’d never met. She’s just so easy to talk to, encouraging, patient, and hilarious! Laura and Sam already have an adorable little girl named Tessah, she is so full of energy and spunk! When Laura told me she was pregnant, my first reaction was complete fear as it’s one thing to photograph the birth of a friend or fellow photographer, but when it’s another BIRTH photographer, it’s even more terrifying. Thankfully Laura was so sweet and kept telling me not to worry. Ironically, we had just gone to dinner together the night before she went into labor to go over all the plans as she was anticipating a home/water birth. The night she went into labor, I rushed to her house as she let me know things were happening very quickly. Thankfully, there was no traffic and I was the first one there. I was prepared to help catch baby, but she waited for the midwife to arrive! It was a birth like I’d never seen before. Tears of joy, singing, and laughter filled this home as sweet Lucia was born. Her big sister even got to help cut the cord. What a special evening it was, thank you Laura and Sam for allowing me to capture this beautiful home birth.2015-05-21_0014P I NIT2015-05-21_0004P I NIT2015-05-21_0015P I NIT2015-05-21_0013P I NIT2015-05-21_0005P I NIT2015-05-21_0006P I NIT2015-05-22_0003P I NIT2015-05-22_0002P I NIT2015-05-21_0008P I NIT2015-05-21_0009P I NIT2015-05-21_0010P I NIT2015-05-21_0011P I NIT
